(Probably the wrong forum, but what they hey)
I assume everyone has seen the neat little icons under the user's picture. The source of some of them is obvious (D&D Insider, Virtual Community Lead) but how does one get some of the others, like "Scribe" or "GM"?
Just curious.
I'd be interested to know all the possible icons and what they represent too. 
GM - this is an old title, and with all the games moving into groups, i believe it should be obsoleted or made more broadly available. It once upon a time described people who had a specific part of the forum under their control, like Real Adventures, Core Coliseum, Play-by-Post Haven etc.
Scribes are people who... dunno... wrote some community stuff once upon a time ago. Don't know their exact job description.
VCLs are volunteer community leads - and they are not chosen by the community, but CS/CM.
There is also another badge for WOTC, and LFR Global Admins.

To add my own take on this: I'd very much like to see the amount of badges available either increased, or the whole system taken away. As it currently is, for some people it just serves to distinguish first to second class citizens, and for many others its irrelevant.
Scribe is a holdover from about 5 years ago. We volunteered to create and edit FAQs or work on one or another various content projects. The title remains long after the projects were done.

I'm also curious about the message board titles. Apparently I'm a "Stampeding Hybrid". I wonder why.
"Stampeding Hybrid" was a custom title given to the people who took part in the discussions of and feedback for the hybrid character class rules a while ago.
My title (Reasonably Disagreeable) was "imposed" on my by a transition team employee when my posts seemed to stand out amongst the crowd by voicing disagreement with WotC policies *without* condemning the company, the gods, and the universe in the same breath.
