Idea for improving the flow of information

I know that I nearly missed the Oct. 12 announcement from WotC_Trevor because, well quite frankly the DnDi Announcements forum has never really been more than a "Hey, look at what's on the front page" collection (No offense AL, but it does seem like there isn't really any "announcing" going on in that forum) so I would like for one of our information pipeline expiditers (read, VCLs) to forward a suggestion to whoever it is that is in charge of making improvements to the forums.

We need an automated Staff Digest forum that collects posts made by WotC staff members in one place so that they can be found without wading through literally pages of posts to find tidbits. an example of what I am suggesting can be found here: boards.cityofheroes.com/tracker.php?do=s...=

Interesting, but there's also the DDI group as well. Announcements are posted all over the place rather than just one.

Maybe if the announcement feature were used, assuming we can fine tune it to only post on say the D&D boards.

Announcements being made everywhere is 90% of the problem, a casual viewer does not have a single place to look

I guess I am missing why there's a solution needed. Announcements are made in several, known, locations. Anyone can read these announcements to get the information they need.

If you don't read the announcements because you feel there is too much "look at me" to them - I would suggest perusing them briefly before putting them away rather than ignoring them.
