#1 Mand12 Nov 16, 2011 21:34:43	I was following a thread in 4e General about Skyrim's skill system and how it may be relevant to D&D design.  I suppose it was considered off-topic by some, and it got moved.  I don't necessarily have too much issue with that - I disagree that it was off-topic, but I can see why it was moved. That said, it was a bit jarring when I looked for it and just couldn't find it.  No sign of where it went, no clue where on the entire Community site it could have been sent, even.  Was it in non-4e D&D discussion?  RPG discussion?  Some videogame-RPG-focused board I've never heard of?  I have no way of knowing where to look for it. Fortunately, a quick forum search under 'all forums' for Skyrim found it, but it seems odd that there isn't at least an indication of what happened.  If nothing other than a locked thread that just consists of a link to its new location in the forum it was originally posted in, and timestamped at the time at which it was moved so that it stays in the right place when sorting by date.  I scrolled down to the bottom of 4e General and found threads with most recent post at 1 day plus, and so I knew it was gone, but didn't know what happened.  Was it moved, or was it deleted?  I don't know.  I can see why you would want to have a deleted thread just vanish completely, but for a moved thread I don't see why there isn't room for a link to its new, proper location.
#2 wrecan Nov 17, 2011 7:24:50	We used to be able to do that and I wish we still could.  Apparently, the current forum software can't handle it.  I know this is an imperfect solution, but most threads are moved due to a request placed in the VCL Request thread.  If you think a thread has been moved, you can check the end of that thread to see to where it was requested it be moved.
