#1 ellus Aug 16, 2009 17:25:37	Hey, I've been playing DND for a while now; mostly 3.5 with a little bit of 4.0. I prefer 3.5 by _far_. Dont get me wrong, I realize that there are issues that are dealt with much more swiftly in 4e, but it feels so... limited. I can't really put my finger on what exactly pisses me off about 4e, but I think that WOTC has side-stepped a pothole only to fall off the bridge with it. On the other hand, I think that a version '3.75' could make a truly glorious middle-ground that would lead us to the pearly gates of gamer heaven. I've tried looking but I haven't found anybody writing an alternate version of this stuff. Also, I really don't want to get sued by WOTC; does anyone know whether or not this would be legal to make? (of course, no one would be selling it commercially, but just sharing the idea; like sharing character concepts, you know?)
#2 Ash2Dust Aug 16, 2009 17:49:28	To really say "legal or not", one would probably have to know what it is you're trying to accomplish exactly. You may want to look at Paizo's Pathfinder game. It's commonly referred to as D&D 3.75.
