Why is a thread called "3.5 just doesn't do it for me" continue to exist in the general discussion area? It is either a 3.5 thread and belongs in those forums, or it is a "first impression" and belongs with those threads.
I object to such a blatant cheap shot at 3.5 being allowed to exist, when anything remotely resembling it about 4th edition is locked, or moved , or simply deleted.
Hasn't Wotc taken enough cheap shots at its own previous edition without allowing this to continue?

*Looks at post*

*Looks at sig*

Does not compute.

Edit: Just to clarify, I'm all for removing all the worthless countdown-to-flamefest threads from the General forum as well. I just found the dichotomy between your post and your sig to be humorous.

Yeah believe it or not since i started coming here, my stance on censorship has changed dramatically. Both sides of the edition war at this point are tiresome to me. I don't see any useful discussion being generated in them.
And honestly i have had my fill of people trashing 3.5. I am not denying that the system had issues. But at the same time i think bashing any edition of the game at this juncture is pointless. I am cautiously optimistic about where the new edition is going, and i don't see why the two games and their factions can't co-exist without open warfare.
Consider this an open call for sanity and peace on the forums.

I'm down with that.

Unfortunately, unless the mods are really going to start cracking down the General Discussion forum is going to continue being a cauldron of hate for the new edition for quite awhile. And when posters come into tear down the new edition, the natural reaction is for people there to fire back.

The cycle's got to stop somewhere. I just want to get back to the point where I'm discussing the games I'm playing rather than actively defending my right to enjoy them.

I haven't read the thread, have you?

If you feel a thread is inappropriate you must view the thread to find out what it is about and report it for any violation.

This is the best emthod for bringing "bad" threads to the proper attention.

-Press the 'Report Post' button, and in the text input box, inform the WizOs what you just said, and, of course, any flaming/baiting/trolling going on.
