| #1draconsnighthawkMar 22, 2008 13:24:46 | On the main page for DnD, Sage Advice and all that is always black, and I have to scroll over it to see anything. Anyway I can fix that? Its rather annoying. |
| #2insatiumMar 22, 2008 23:00:03 | What browser/OS are you using? If Firefox, do you have NoScript/AdBlock/something similar turned on?. |
| #3draconsnighthawkMar 23, 2008 14:30:53 | XP, and I have a adblock on. I can see everything just fine, but News, Sage Advice, Community, and Advice only have their titles, I have to ether highlight it, or scroll over it, (Where then the text turns red) but other then that, its pitch black. |
| #4fluffykins0Mar 23, 2008 15:42:29 | I am having the same problem. I use Internet explorer 7 I believe, and have google toolbar, but other than that, it's all pretty standard. |
| #5bragolMar 31, 2008 6:29:09 | I'm having the same problem. I just reloaded Windows XP onto my computer (original hard drive failed). I run Explorer 6 with no odd options except it is set to automatically delete temporary files and cookies every day. Prior to my new HD, I did not have the problem. Any help from one of the resident computer geniuses would be appreciated! |
| #6sinfire_titanMar 31, 2008 11:27:04 | If you are not signed in to Insider (not just the forums) the main page displays the Gygax memorial over the main site. There should be a place to click on the screen that will hide it for you, but it is suppossed to highlight the memorial specifically. |
| #7draconsnighthawkMar 31, 2008 11:38:18 | I know the Memorial is black. But if I scroll to the Bottom of the page, where its NEWS Sage Advice Community Submissions. That's ALL I see. Unless I highlight. Then I see whats suppose to be linked there. Like when I highlight the blackness that is under submissions, I'll get write for Dragon or Dungeon magazines? We’re always on the lookout for new writers. Check out our writer’s guidelines and send us your idea. If I put my mouse cursor on it, the text that's there will be red and readable. I just don't get why they did that. In the news block is also just a giant red D (partial U) under that is & D. |
| #8khazzanMar 31, 2008 21:06:36 | I think they are reloading for an April Fools' Day edition of the front page. |
| #9oswald_kratoMar 31, 2008 22:39:06 | Confirmed. Discuss the possibilities of an Evil Squirrel Rogue. =P |
| #10daftMar 31, 2008 23:32:45 | Heh, I thought the main page had been hacked by some hardcore underground anti-4E brigade. The April fools thing was far less romantic. :embarrass |

The background of those areas is a transparent PNG and required the most recent version of IE7 otherwise they can render as black images. It was the Squirrel's fault ... Sorry. MJ |
| #13turinApr 01, 2008 17:55:27 | The background of those areas is a transparent PNG and required the most recent version of IE7 otherwise they can render as black images. Of course, users could simply be rid of InternetExploder and get a real browser (i.e., anything else), and then they wouldn't have that problem. ;) |
| #14draconsnighthawkApr 01, 2008 20:05:26 | The background of those areas is a transparent PNG and required the most recent version of IE7 otherwise they can render as black images. I downloaded IE7, and it looks back to normal! Thank you so much for the help! I'm no longer going insane ![]() |
