Issue Responding to PM

So here's a fun one.  I attempted to respond to a PM I had today only to encounter a 'there was a problem' page.  For some reason, the site decided that I needed to complete the set up Wizard before I would be allowed to reply.  The thing is, I've already responded to a fair number of PMs without any trouble.  I assume if I had clicked anything, though, that it would have done the same thing.  The step I chose not to complete I left out for a reason.  That stupid send an invite to a friend crap.  I don't want to harass people about this website and I can't stand it when people do that sort of thing to me.  So, I didn't do it.  And then the site made me.  Luckily I had a junk email addy around to send the invite to.  I hope that this step really isn't a required one for participation.  Anyone else run into something similar?

Last I checked that wasn't a required step. Only the first 3 are. Did they change it?

That's kind of what I'm trying to figure out.  When the li'l screen popped up, all of the other steps were green and offered an option to re-do.  The send an invite step only offered one option - to do it.  I don't know if it just sort of glitched out and happened or if it's some sort of policy change.  I'm thinking it's the former, but you never know.  It's just a practice that bothers me on a personal level and one I did not appreciate basically being told I had to do in order to participate.  Like I said, I had a workaround, but it's something that annoys me.  I was just wondering if it happened to anyone else.  If it's a glitch, it's a bothersome one.

It is a glitch - I encountered it as well and just invited myself. ;)

So it's a glitch, eh?  That's what I thought.  Thanks for the confirmation.
