| #1alitainJul 30, 2011 22:53:54 | Okay, not entirely sure if this is the right place, so I apologize but I couldn't find any other forum area. Anyway, the last couple days when I'm on this forum every topic looks like a topic normally does when there's a new response to it. Even though I've already looked at the topics, they all look the same; sort of bold lettering and all. I'm just curious if for some reason this is just me, or is everyone else having this problem. The reason I bring this up is that it's kinda hard to keep track of the topics I like to read when there's a new response. Also I guess while I'm on it, another issue. This has been going on for a couple months or so now, but is it just me or is everyone's replies effected? See whenever I make a reply and use the Enter key it doesn't actually move the cursor until I start typing. Just kinda irritating. Well again, not sure if this is exactly the right place or not, if it isn't please let me know. But also thanks for any help you guys can give me. |

| #3morandir62Jul 31, 2011 0:19:56 | The bold lettering seems to an alert to a recent posting, which almost always show up first - hence all appearing to be bold. I hunt the forum for topics of intrest, even if I don't post I subscribe allowing me to see updates in my profile's home tabe under forum subscriptions. Because I suck at spelling I tend to type in word and then copy/past into reply, But I have been having a hell of time with the tool bar provided in the reply section and my spoilers are not working properly. |
| #4alitainJul 31, 2011 2:44:13 | Well I know I can just look at see the date/time/user of the last post but sometimes I can't always remember those things especially if it's recently been updated. And yeah morandir, I know the bold lettering means a recent post and that's the problem, EVERY topic looks like its been recently updated when most haven't seen activity in days or weeks. That's what seems to be the problem. Yeah, I've tried copy/pasting things in posts awhile ago when doing homebrew races...and it's just not worth it anymore because of have messed up it makes the post. I hate having to retype everything again. |
| #5morandir62Jul 31, 2011 10:53:40 | Yeah, I see what you're talking about now. I just tried viewing at one not in Bold and it didn't change, nor did it change when I posted a reply. None of the buttons work for me in the reply section (spell check, colors, formating, icons, hyperlinks et al) thus cut/past is the only way I can post without seeming illiterate. |
| #6mudbunnyAug 01, 2011 9:15:49 | Yeah, I see what you're talking about now. I just tried viewing at one not in Bold and it didn't change, nor did it change when I posted a reply. I have noticved this as well. I will be poking WOtC over this. |
| #7morandir62Aug 01, 2011 10:17:04 | Thanks, and poke hard ![]() |
| #8alitainAug 01, 2011 16:18:52 | Well definitely glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing these issues with the forum. Just wish Wizards would do something about it, especially since at least with the constant 'bold blue' topic titles this wasn't an issue till a couple weeks ago or something so wonder what's going on. |
| #9morandir62Aug 02, 2011 1:14:55 | It is not just the spell check it is all the tools in the reply section. They used to work before < 3 months ago, but now nothing. |
| #10vail_nocturneAug 04, 2011 15:53:29 | Spell check works in Firefox, but not IE..hard to say which broke what. Bolding is totally broken. |
| #11WotC_MichelleAug 04, 2011 17:13:02 | The bolding bug and the spell check bug have both been logged. I'm not seeing the problem with the remaining WYSIWYG editor tools in IE. Is anyone else having this problem? morandir62, can you reply with more details about your operating system, browser version, etc? Thanks! |
| #12alitainAug 05, 2011 13:40:57 | Thanks Michelle, good to know WotC is looking into it. |
| #13morandir62Aug 05, 2011 15:07:48 | @WotC_Michelle: sent PM |
| #14alitainAug 06, 2011 17:27:10 | Sweet, seems like the bold blue effect has been fixed. Nice. |
