| #1NovacatJan 02, 2008 0:43:12 | Is there any chance of reinstating the old login system where we don't have to log back in every 2 weeks? That was much more convenient and I don't see why it changed. |
| #2m1kh43l_p4r4d1s0Jan 02, 2008 0:53:33 | It sends circulation and adds hits to gleemax. |
| #3cryosilverJan 02, 2008 1:14:29 | It's not so bad; Firefox saves my password and stuff, so it takes me an extra 3 seconds, every two weeks. Not too bad. |
| #4zammmJan 02, 2008 1:58:49 | There's a thread requesting just that [thread=961643]here[/thread]; be sure to post and add your support. ![]() |
| #5EdymnionJan 02, 2008 7:34:51 | Does anyone know how to manually edit the cookie information to set the expiration date to never, so it won't expire? I've got my cookie file open, and I can figure out parts of it, but I can't figure out which one is the stored date. The values also seem to be encoded/encrypted. |
| #6zammmJan 02, 2008 20:07:41 | I don't know about manually; I used a Firefox extension called Cookie Editor to do it. I can't remember if it worked properly; I know I've had to log on a few times, but that was because of something else, and I don't know how long my login lasted of its own accord... |
| #7eldritch_lordJan 02, 2008 20:30:32 | With saved passwords and such it's not too terribly difficult to log in every now and then, but fixing the cookies so as not to have to do so would be nice. I'll head over there to throw my support in. |
| #8EdymnionJan 02, 2008 20:56:27 | I don't know about manually; I used a Firefox extension called Cookie Editor to do it. Ah, good find. I just used it, and found the only Gleemax cookie set to expire prior to 2009 (which was set to die tomorrow, actually), and cranked it up to 2020. Here's hoping I never see that effing login screen ever again. |
| #9ikeman04Jan 02, 2008 21:04:15 | I really don't mind logging in that bad. Hell, I log in every day, just about. I can now type my email adress in just over two seconds, and my password in about one and a half. |
| #10legdiwenaJan 07, 2008 20:26:45 | Could try changing system clock before you get the cookie if programs don't work. |
| #11at-at_assaultApr 18, 2008 1:12:07 | Ah, good find. What's the Cookiee name? I can't figure out which one it is. |
| #12EdymnionApr 21, 2008 11:55:51 | What's the Cookiee name? I can't figure out which one it is. There's a whole mess of them in there, thats for sure. I don't have it here on my work computer, so I can't tell you right this instant. But the easiest way to find it (if I don't remember when I get home) is to log out and then back in. That will clear you existing cookie, and replace it with a fresh 2 week one. Then filter for gleemax cookies only, and look for the one dated to expire in 2 weeks. There will only be one on the entire list with an expiration date in that general time area, and it'll be the one you need to edit. Send me a PM in... about 4 hours so that I'll remember to check when I get home, and I can tell you specifically (I know I'll forget if you don't) if you can't find it using the above. |

I was looking at the forums.gleemax.com cookiees, not the gleemax.com cookiees. Thanks, I found the right one. |
| #14EdymnionApr 21, 2008 17:10:29 | Yeah, it applies to all of gleemax, its just that right now the forums are all there is of it. |
