A minority of people on the modern boards are very hostile to anyone who espouses modern with 4e rules. Those of us that do so have to constantly defend ourselves against sarcasm, snarky comments, and flat out 4e haters. It's gotten so bad we can barely get any legitimate discussion done.

It would be nice, indeed.

But, seeing as WotC is unwilling to do the same for the FR 4e section of the boards, I highly doubt they will do so for Modern.

I could be wrong, and I understand your reasoning (trust me, I'm tired of the underlying hate from a select group of people), so best of luck.

I second this request. It would be nice to have a "4e Modern" forum. Perhaps one inside the Other World's Sub Forums? At the current moment in time, if you are both pro 4e and pro d20 Modern, the d20 Modern forums are a decidedly unpleasant place to be.

Point in case! One of the people who make the d20 Modern forum so pleasant for those of us who like both 4e and Modern, and want to discuss a d20 4e Modern variant.

But please, backstabbist, perhaps you can tell me, what is 4e if not a d20 game? Because, the logo on the back of my 4e books labels it a member of the "d20 system" family.

So please, it seems that those of us who like both 4e and d20 Modern, and want a d20 Modern game built using the 4e rules, are posting in the wrong forum. Apparently their elitist d20 is not our d20, despite the fact that those of us who happen to like both 4e and Modern are in the majority (as evidenced by the poll in that forum). So please, a new forum would be much appreciated.

It might take nine months, and the entire pro advancement community putting the elitists on Ignore but it'll work.

As it is I don't see much discussion going on about the game... and more name calling. On both sides.

Unmoderated forum is unmoderated. And BAD.
