I know a few people (myself included) who would like to see some of the 4e artwork added to the avatar selection.

No, seriously.
Make the avatars the proper size, host them on image shack or something long enough to put them in this thread, and if you have a bunch of good ones, they'll probably get added.

Otherwise, just asking for them will do nothing, since its time and work they will say is better spent elsewhere.

So, if you do all the work and hand them the finished product ready to use, they usually put it up for you. If you just ask for them, it gets put on the "to do when there's nothing more important that needs doing", which generally means they'll get to it sometime before 5e launches.

Also, I wouldn't bother unless you make at least a dozen. Putting up one or two typically isn't worth the effort on their part to upload and create categories for.

You seem to be assuming the Community Management team will treat things the same way the WizOs used to. I think it's been demonstrated time and time again that's just not true...
