And even though the concept of an online toolset does make some logical sense, here is a list of issues I have. 1. Not yet worth $10 a month, please for $10 a month include a map maker and some other recourses. And with the $10 a month, make it easy to join the RPGA and make it easy for DMs to make their adventures apart of it. 2. Though I do like the fact that dark sun has been reintroduced and I am a big fan of the original Dark Sun game, whoever wrote the rules for despoilers and preservers completely missed the point of those classes, please reread the second edition versions and reconsider what you have done. 3. Technical issues, the online tool set crashes every five mins on msXP and my friend who has the latest and greatest computer with ms7, and it still crashes. You need to pull it up date the non online version and bug fix it. 4. Import and export to the non online tool set please. I DM outside on a patio so smokers and BBQs can happen. The wireless isn’t so great outside. I guess what I am saying continue the support of the offline version. 5. House rules, every good DM has them, me I have the players roll 4d6 seven times reroll 1’s and 2’s drop the lowest and choose the stat you place the number in. and most times I start them level 2, these are basic house rules I do, that and 1 lvl 1 or 2 magic item, upon my approval. Sometimes I also write up an item to fit a character, ie we have a Warforgded in the party Named after a famous Cartoon Robot, the character is a bare hands warrior since he good at bending things, I gave him warhammers but renamed them from ‘+1 warhammers of blood claw’ to ‘+1 Benders fists’, and put the note that these where his hands made into fists, great for RP and game play. 6. Here is my final issue it took 20 mins to print the character which took me forever to make since it lags out and crashes and then when I was done I wanted to save it to desktop so I could use it…, come on bug fix it really, add features so we can access it without having to log in. |

My group plays live. thats what we used the character builder for. We have our characters, we put temporary hit points on the character sheet and we edit ON THE FLY. 1) on the fly isnt possible with the new builder it takes many seconds up to a minute for any updates to show up on the character sheet. and the character sheet is STATIC, uneditable, ie USELESS change this..make it live, editable, non static (ie stuff like oh say being able to put temporary hit points on the sheet ON a laptop instead of just being able to print it out...among other things like that) or when my account expires it will NOT be renewed theres plenty of free character sheets out there. if i wanted a printout character sheet i wouldnt be paying for an active builder that ISNT active. dumb dumb dumb |

QFE Used to be able to also delete blocks that were unimportant, move them around for user preference. Also, you used to be able to selectively hide power cards, which was nice for saving paper and ink when printing. You didn't need to reprint cards that didn't change with level. Shouldn't next generation of software be an improvement? |

I don't think I'll ever go back now, even if they genuinely do improve it. I've got better uses for the money, like more range time. |
