#1 god_of_slivers Aug 23, 2008 20:52:34	Seeing as 4e already has a sizable amount of errata for it I'd like to make a suggestion as to the format that errata is released in. After having seen the updated chart for the DM screen that you just cut and paste over the original chart I came to a conclusion. All errata should be available in the same format. It makes it easy and painless to update our books with the proper rules without having to rely on post it notes or loose sheets of paper. And if future errata supplants the old it's as easy as just peeling up the old and replacing it. I'm just curious to see if anybody else would be interested in seeing wotc release errata in this format. Also, please bring back the habit of putting the most recent updates in a red font, it makes it easier to skim it for updates when new errata comes out. Thanks.
#2 ravenouspuma Aug 24, 2008 15:53:27	For 3.0 I would put the errata in the right size font and just glue it into the books and it was great. If there is more words I make a smaller font or make use of the many blank spots on the page layouts. I'm personally not really worried about the resale value of RPG or keeping them spotless and i hate having a stack of errata pages you have to check everytime you look something up. Much better to read it once I would second that the errata be easy to slap in the books or (not ever going to happen) send me a reprint and I'll send you, WOTC, my crummy print.:D
#3 hellmute Aug 24, 2008 16:29:48	Why not just make a PDF of the compiled pages of errata to replace the whole page in a book with the errata in place. So if PHB page 28 has errata in 3 places, just update that page with the errata, so people can stick that whole page in the book. The only problem that would come about is if WotC had to errata every page so that the errata'd pages comprised an entire book they would have to give for free anyway.... Then you got bigger problems than errata....
#4 god_of_slivers Aug 24, 2008 19:50:42	That gives a few problems. The fewest would make real use of it I think, as most folk are rather interested to keep their books spotless. Secondly, what if the errata adds a new line to a text, thereby increasing the size of it? The new patched in errata would then maybe overshadow the text that follows, make it unreadable... They could quite easily reduce the font size to make it fit into the allotted space.

#7 jinnetics Aug 24, 2008 22:48:25	I'd like to see corrected PDFs of the pages in question. I'd print them up and simply stick the page in the book (no glue, staples or tape, just stuck in the book like a bookmark). Ooh! There's an idea - errata bookmarks! And they could probably find a way to sell that...
