New Forum Feature: Notify you when someone quotes one of your posts?

I just got e-mailed from someone quoting one of my posts. Personally I can see this feature being both useful and annoying. If someone wants to change this option is is under Preferences.

Agreed that it could be good or bad.  I don't post that much, so for me I do not see it as an issue, but I could certainly see heavy posters being annoyed by it when it is on.

Yeah, it's a little bit annoying when new features like this pop up already in the 'on' position.

And somebody quoting you is not necessarily a foolproof indication that you've been responded to. Lots of people reply without actually using the quote function (e.g. by prefacing their post with '@[Name]'). If you're waiting for a 'somebody quoted you' email before returning to that thread, you're going to miss responses.

@ Duskweaver - exactly, and I almost freaked out when I got that first e-mail. Promptly turned the option off afterwards.
