Notation Icons?

Mar 18, 2009 13:25:44 I was wondering if we could get some of the official 4e notation icons as non-smiley smilies for the forum. Such as that diamond that seperates a power's usage from it's keywords (You know, like "Daily [diamond] Martial, Weapon") or the icons used in monster statblocks for Basic Melee, Melee, Basic Ranged, Ranged, Area, and Close attacks.

I think it'd help make presentation better in the homebrew forums. What does everyone else think?

I agree.

I know it has been suggested in the past and I believe ENWorld has had the icons as smilies for quite a while now.

Any idea who (on these boards) would have the pull to make this happen?

Mar 18, 2009 14:27:38 There's actually a proposal in the works to "revamp" the various smilies and go through them to see what things should be added and what can be removed. This is definitely one of the things we want to talk about as a potential addition.

I would REALLY like to have the Circled sword, sword, circled bow, bow, burst, blast, and such icons used on the monster attacks added as smilies as well.

I've necromancied this thread cause I'm looking for an update. Were the 4e notation icons discussed and decided against, or was the whole thing just shoved off in limbo somewhere and forgotten about?

I'm curious too, it's such an excellent suggestion. Revamp or not, surely it isn't that difficult to add a handful of icons to the current selection?
