(Weird, I thought I posted this, but it disappeared.)

Hey, I searched for a thread on this, but no luck.
How do I turn a thread into a poll?

You don't. Polls (or any thread whose goal is to elicit Yes/No/Maybe answers with little discussion) aren't allowed under the CoC. I happen to think it might be a little silly, but them's the rules.

What? Then how come I've seen actual polls on this forum?

Moderators can start a poll. GMs can also start polls, but only the forum they manage. And frivolously starting a poll can get a GM into trouble.

What Zherog said (also I believe Scribes can in the scribe forum then asked for them to be moved into the public forums), also the more recent poll threads were not polls. They are a result of merging many threads into one, like this thread.
