Problem Posting

Aug 31, 2009 16:07:37		I'm having a weird problem that just started this morning. When I go to post on these forums, the text frame where I enter my post is only 2 lines high and about 20 characters across. It still allows me to post, but it is quite annoying as it is difficult for me to see what I have typed without cutting and pasting to a text editor and back again.

Anyone else having this problem? I'm using IE6.

I would post a picture, but there seems to be some issues with that feature, too.

Well, if I had to guess, I'd say that might be the source of your problem. Perhaps you should consider upgrading your browser to a slightly less ancient version. Wink

While I agree that upgrading (to a more recent version of any major browser) would be a good idea, I admit I have had that bug, though only as a once-off, with Firefox 3.0.13. It only showed up with the one post, but that does suggest there's something dodgy with the site code.

The computer in question is not mine, so I do not have control over the version of IE it has. If I use my own computer with the latest Firefox, I don't have any issues.

I have noticed that with this computer, it was working when the new version of these forums came out. Then it was hit and miss earlier this week. Now I have this problem it seems every time when using IE6. If there was a time when I had no issues, I would think that there is a solution or perhaps an upgrade over the past few days broke IE6. The other possibility is that things may still be in flux and this issue with IE6 may be fixed over time.

In any case, I'm just typing my post in Notepad and then copying it over to the 2-line text box I see.
