| #1ilvaniNov 02, 2010 1:41:20 | This error message has been showing up on three different computers for me whenever I try to access the D&D homepage. Anyone else have that problem? |
| #2sorgurdarNov 03, 2010 2:10:38 | Yes I have the same error message for nearly a week now (with both Firefox and IE). Very annoying to pay for such prolonged downtimes... Server Error in '/' Application. Runtime ErrorDescription: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL. |
| #3sorgurdarNov 03, 2010 2:29:52 | Just figured out that if you go to a subpage like www.wizards.com/DnD/Tools.aspx it is working fine. But as soon as I go on the "Home" tab, the error message pops up. |
| #4lawmaxNov 04, 2010 15:21:43 | Same Problem System Info: Windows 7 x64 professional (up to date) Mozilla Firefox 3.6.12 (also Microsoft Internet Explorer doesn't work) Java 6.22 From Germany. Maybe there are some aspects we are sharing, in order to resolve the problem. (My brother Encountered the same Problem and uses Vista x32 Home) |
| #5lawmaxNov 04, 2010 18:48:53 | Solved the problem. You have to change the favored language of your browser to [en-us]. I have send the problem details to the customer support. |
| #6sorgurdarNov 05, 2010 2:36:56 | Also connecting from Germany, but already tried an anonymizer to see whether it's an IP origin issue. Your tip to change the favored language did not work for me (both FF & IE) - how did you set it up ? I moved EN-US to the top of the priority list but did not remove german and the other entries. |
| #7lawmaxNov 05, 2010 6:47:23 | I recreated the issue with my IE, after performing following steps it worked: Cleared Cookies, temorary Internet Files, saved Passwords etc. Then I changed the Languages to: [en-US] [de-de] [de] [en] Then it worked. But only if you deleted your Cookies and Temps before. After it worked once the Cookie or Temp file you obtain is correct and you can switch the Languages back. |
| #8sorgurdarNov 05, 2010 14:41:26 | Just had to delete the cookies (already changed language priority), now it works fine. You should get some of WotC's customer support budget for helping out ![]() Danke Dir :-) |
