REQUEST: gratuitous service for european users

I would like to ask a little forum function for european users:
Switching the forum time from 12 hours am/pm to 24 hours display.

Is this possible? I'm always confused when I look at the time codes.

I think he's not talking about his time zone/UTC offset. I suppose he's referring to the format the time of your posting is shown. Currently, it uses the AM/PM format, which is usually highly confusing to europeans.

To be honest, I personally don't care about that, but I seriously understand everyone asking for an option to change e.g. "5:13 PM" to "17:13", or "12:29 AM" to "00:29".

Because many European countries do not use the AM/PM system. Would you be confused if you've never heard of or used 'military time' and the timestap said 17:13?

I'd imagine you would be. For a European, 5:13PM is 17:13 .... the whole AM/PM system is not used.

Don't get me wrong -- if it's easy for WotC to add the option, I'm all in favor of them doing so, because options are good.

Mar 17, 2008 11:47:15 I work at a place that uses a military style 24 hour clock for scheduling as well as on our computers. I've been there 3 months, and let me tell you, I have to think about it every time I look at the clock.

Mar 17, 2008 18:52:38 I am Texas/Michigan and have used military time for years. I prefer it over AM/PM also. I also like dates written as 17 Mar 08, but can't win 'em all. Both would be very easy to implement, if they're not already part of this standard forum system. I'm a member of a forum that uses the same software and they have the option of 24 hour time.
