Hi everyone,

I've been gone for a while and while I was gone the Mature Boards disappeared.

They disappeared along with the Ecchinobi class/discipline too and the only version of it I can easily find is a very outdated one as a good majority of the updates were on the forum version.

Is there any way to get it back or at least have the contents of that old thread PM'd to me?

You can find the original urls in my signature. Please help me find my class.

The reason your links don't work is that WotC have changed the forum URL. It used to have "boards1.wizards" in it, but now has "forums.gleemax" in it.

So although your links don't work, the threads (and your posts) are probably still there. You could try hacking the URL, to put the gleemax bit in, but as the forum says you only have 80 posts, you might find it easier to search all your posts.

You can search through the posts of any person on the forums. Go to your user page (which you can do by clicking on any post made by you) and then click on "search all posts by this user".

Here is a link to Pink Taco's user page, to save you time. If you open that in a new window, you should be able to come back here and read the instructions.

Once you have a second window open, look for your threads/posts and then use this window to go to your profile and correct the links.

(Don't forget to test all the links are working before you log out. Otherwise you will need to come back here and search for this thread.)

Good luck!

I wish that was it, but all my posts from the old Mature Boards are gone!

All my posts show me are the 5 posts outside of the Mature Boards now.

I see your problem. You have 80 posts listed, but when people click on the details, only 5 (6 now) show up.

I'd say someone has actually deleted those threads. If the posts were made a while ago, maybe you can find them in an archive (like the Wayback Machine) and if they were made recently, maybe you can find them in a search engine cache.

Good luck.

EDIT: Hmm. I just had a good hunt for this with the Wayback Machine (and also hacking the URL, to put in Gleemax suff on the begining). I get a message from the forum telling me I can't access your post:

bigmac, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

  • You are attempting to use a feature that employs the search engine. Search is currently disabled on the forums
  • Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  • If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I think that your stuff is still there, but is somehow locked out so that only admins (and maybe moderators) can see it.

The mature forum was removed from public view. To my understanding, mods can still access it - but (sadly) current policies pretty much prevent them from helping you, even though I'm sure most of them would want to.

I'd recommend you contact Customer Service via the "contact us" link at the bottom of every page. However, don't get your hopes too high.

Well, this totally sucks...

...been gone for some time now, even deleted my account. Now I came back to have another look at your PrC and save it for eternity but due to some hideous policy changes by the wizards, ther IS NO MORE MATURE BOARD!

Why? Dunno.

Anyways, if you ever feel like rewriting/reposting your (quite famous) PrC, I'll be there to read and comment.

I think you can find someone who has it. I saw someone here by the name of Skydin.

Press ctrl+F, then type Ecchinobi. It'll take you to a post she put about the class. Apperently Skydin printed off a copy of your class. Join the site, then ask her if she could put a copy of the class up or give a copy to you. I'd do it myself, but I'm really busy.
If you do get it back, could you show us the class as well? I saw it in the Martial Compendium
Also, if any of you guys can get the word out to PinkTaco about this, that would be great. He hasn't been here since last Halloween, and it seems he would like to know about this.

I haven't checked if there are thread necromancy rules, but I found your class on this page.

Interesting class likes how it all works together and that you can choose between being seductive or out and out nightmarish.
