May 08, 2009 4:19:29 Notice the spelling. Rogue is spelt R-O-G-U-E not R-O-U-G-E as it is so commonly mispelt which means red in French or is the term for a red cosmetic for colouring the cheeks.

Surely I cannot be the only one who has a slight inkling of annoyance everytime rogue is spelt wrong.

At any rate, I think it annoys us all but spelling Rogue 'Rouge' is no worse than spelling the 'teh' or any of the thousand other commonly made typing errors.

Personally, I think people get too worked up over the whole Rogue/Rouge issue.

May 08, 2009 4:44:25 You're probably right about people getting too worked up over it I know with me personally it is merely a pet-peeve, just one of those little things which annoy me. oddly enough most other mispelt words don't annoy me at all.

Yeah, it's kind of annoying, but at this point I also find it rather amusing (like "diety" instead of "deity").

It is probably as annoying as "spelt," which, in actuality, is an ancient wheat. Spelled/misspelled, on the other hand, is probably what you are looking for, no?

Quite likely, I'm a New Zealander so I tend to use the British spelling. Even then though since I read so many articles in American English for I do at times get them mixed up.
