Please use this thread to post questions about Community Management's plans for the RPG area forums.

I will make every effort to get answers to those questions, though I can't guarantee that everyone will like the answers that are provided.

When wording your questions, please try to stay civil and remember the CoC.

The first batch of questions I intend to present to CM are:

When do they need a forum reorganization plan from the community to give it due consideration?

When do they plan on doing the forum reorganization?

What is the number of forums they are looking for in the new RPG Area?

It appears that WotC has collapsed all the forums for legacy campaign worlds into a single forum. A lot of fans are upset, hurt, and disappointed.

I would like to host a forum site for these legacy campaign worlds. Are there any legal restrictions that I would need to follow in order to make sure this is agreeable to WotC?

Our goal is for each forum to have between 25 and 50 active threads per day.

If someone wants to do something like Wrecan did for the 4E forums, that would be a great help. http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1034748

I think that is slightly unfair to those forums that theres a dying interest in due to the re-org and the fact that wizards no logner supports hte prodcut in way....

More than unfair. Wizards may no longer actively support the product lines, however, we are still customers, albeit in a round about way. People who play & use the old campaign worlds and older editions still introduce new people to the game who do become active Wizards customers and buy the new edition of the game. Most people get into gaming through being invited to play in a group with someone so Wizards/Hasbro should not be ignoring the people who still play older editions in the restructure of the boards as they have done.

You have a forum called "D&D Out of Print" and an entire category called "D&D Previous Editions", with several forums. That's not "being ignored."

We could add an Out of Print forum to the RPG section, so people could talk about any OOP RPGs from days past. I'm not sure how much traffic it would get, but it might be something worth looking into.
