Saying goodbye to Astrid's Parlor

May 01, 2012 16:26:39 It's that time. With the work we're doing to re-org and simplify some of our forum areas, Astrid's Parlor is on it's way out. This forum had it's good times and it's not so good times, but it's been around for quite a while. With that said, I will be closing Astrid's Parlor today. If there are any posts or conversations you would like to preserve, now is the time to get your copy and paste done, because one week from today, I plan to remove the forum completely.

Goodbye Astrid's - thanks for all the awesome and craziness.

May 02, 2012 8:05:26 Oh well. Astrid's was a fun and informative place when it was active. Sad to see it go but I'm also in total agreement that it be closed. There's just not enough real activity there anymore.

Yep! It's a slowish process, but we've already tackled the board games forums and the errata forums. We're getting around to everything on the list, just dealing with the available people-power to get it done.

Disappointed that it's no longer available in any format- there were some really great discussions there, and I think some of them could have been used to inform other conversations that are currently occurring in a useful and meaningful way (see the Sexism in Fantasy article). Unfortunately, it looks like not every thread was captured by archive.org, but that's a start for folks who are looking.

May 17, 2012 7:59:06 There is a private group - unfortunately the owner hasn't been around lately (and that's a real shame). That group has been basically dead for a very long time, though.
