Actually... I agree. It's functionally is horrible and it forces certain elements that casual gamers may or may not have an interest in.

They've got to change this entire board in order to convience me to stay. Even Gleemax managed to be readable.
I got used to Gleemax. I missed the old one, but I got used to it. This is just awful. I'm also moving to BG and GiantITP, kthxbai.

I'm with lycan on this... The white forum skin makes my eyes bleed, I can't find any threads I've posted in, my sig is gone completly, and the whole boards looks like someone tried, and failed, to copy off of myspace and other such sites.
I used to check daily, but now it feels like a chore to read this forum. /agree.
Same There just doesn't seem to be any reason now.
A few suggestions:
- Keep the image hosting, but loose the Avatars.
- Keep the Blogs but loose the Message Boards.
What does that create? Mass blogging where you need to go check out other members blogs for articles to reply to and conversations to participate in. Check my Blogs and leave a few messages.

Apart from the rather eye-straining white, they could use some more support on posting and on exactly what they mean by being able to use HTML (it doesn't allow just anything; at least the old boards covered a lot of what was possible with their help).
And the rubbish smilies need to go. They look utterly terrible compared to the old ones.
I took the time to salvage most of the old ones.

I've already done a psionics revision. Though I guess there should be more than simply powers that need revised. Feats, items, etc.
Anyway, I'm not that impressed with Pathfinder.
Agreed. It's looking like I'll only check the forums weekly rather than a couple times a day. Beyond the aesthetic problems, I can no longer keep an eye on topics of interest by looking for a checkmark saying I posted there, I can't toggle up between forums (instead, I'm going back to Dungeons & Dragons --> What's a Player to Do? when I'm done with psionics, rather than going Psionics --> What's a Player to Do? directly. And when I sign in, it takes me home rather than to where I last left off. I hate to tell you this, WotC, but this wasn't an upgrade. This was a downgrade. You've tried to make this site function as both a forum and something like Facebook, and instead you've created something in between the two, able to function as neither.
EDIT: Also, I find myself going back to old topics of mine to remove the coding for bullets, because it didn't work right anymore. But when I edit, line breaks I've placed vanish. And I was only using ENTER for that.
Yup, I agree here. This is really lame. I can't find things, I have no clue how to navigate half of this eyebloodfest, and yeah, pretty much what has already been said. Rabble rabble!

Paizo is worse than this. Both BG and GiantITP are variants of the VBulliten 6 forums WotC used before it became Gleemax. BG is for the more optimization-oriented, and GiantITP is for Home Brewers or people who prefer lower amounts of optimization (not that they don't have optimizers, they just tend to only speak up every so often).

I already stated in a different thread to your sig responce that it was long and much quoted. I cannot just retype my cookies, there was too much text.
One of the positives that I saw here is that tables are now supported using good ol' HTML tags. At least there's some good news. But the e-mail informing me of a reply to a thread leads to the main community page instead of the thread itself.

I just dug mine off a cached page from the old forums. It's a shame about the lack of spoiler blocks, though; cluttering up pages with a really long signature is something I'd rather not do, despite the usefulness of the ZMR.

Heck, I just want my subscribed forums back. I could quickly browse from one area of interest to another. Now I not only have to find all my subscribed threads, but I have to go fairly deep into the forums before I can even access them. Too much social networking, not enough community.

I kind of meant linked as actual help, rather than tucked away somewhere, though I guess the forums are still new. Not much love on the spoiler block front, though. Those were useful.

Look up one of your posts using google, and click the cached page. It should look like the old forum and you should be able to copy and paste your sig in there.
Also as to this site. I agree its very badly done. I however can't get my official D&D news and products from anywhere else, so I am stuck here. I love D&D, but I hate what WotC has become.
