Right, but a lot of us are not in the US and don't necessarily know where exactly WotC is located other than that "it's an American company". You Americans are used to dealing with different timezones (quite apart from anything else, your TV schedules require it), and presumably don't have to really think too hard to realise "on the West Coast" = "Pacific Time" and then work out what time that is in, say, New York. But that's not true of the rest of us.

#8 whitebaron Oct 30, 2009 10:59:55	Afaik, the articles go live at midnight EST - so even if one could assume this is PST, it's far from sure. any company should always give the timezone IF they are working internationally.

Technically, we're part of Europe, although a lot of my fellow Brits would disagree... Well, to be honest, I think we should realize that Webster doesn't work for the company. I'm not really sure what more 'slack' can be offered. Nobody's calling for Webster's head here. I just pointed out that giving a time without a timezone does not actually tell us very much and that what might seem obvious to him is not necessarily obvious to the rest of us.

I was still hoping for an answer to a question: Is this a one shot deal or are we returning to the standard Thursday shutdown? So, by "next time" was this a specific reference to the next shutdown or merely the next announcement?
