| #1wrecanNov 18, 2008 8:50:24 | [thread=1043486]This thread[/thread] was created for quick rules questions. That's exactly what the Rules Q&A forum is for. Are they redundant? Should the thread be moved to a sticky in the Rules forum? Just a thought. |
| #2batshidoNov 18, 2008 9:14:52 | I think that a similar thread in the Q&A forum would make sense, but as long as General is at the top of the forum it makes sense that there'd be a quick answer thread in there as well. Otherwise it's going to fill up with little rules questions every day. |

While we do get the odd rules question in the wrong forum, it's by no means anything big, maybe one or two threads a day at the absolute maximum. Therefore, I'd think that there wouldn't be all the much of a problem with just moving the thread to RQ&A. (Or perhaps even just ending it entirely, since from what you're saying the purpose of the thread seems to be the same thing as the purpose of the forum, so once it's in there, it's kind of redundant.) If you think there would be problems, I'd suggest moving the RQ&A forum up to just below the General forum and/or putting a mention in the General forum description telling people to go to RQ&A. |
