So Anyone Else Think Groups Are Just Broken?

I can't configure my group's photo, it always snaps back to the default. And I configured it to have an event every friday, twice, but it hasn't appeared yet.

I did all this last night. It's still not here. I configured the group photo again this morning, it still hasn't shown up.

This is just stupid.

Okay, so, I got my events to actually be created by, instead of configuring the time and date and repeating and all that all at once, I just created a 1-hour event on the right day, and it appeared. Then I expanded it with all the extra features I wanted, like repeating weekly and descriptions and all that.

Apparently, you can't build a repeating event from scratch or it doesnt' submit? Or it just didn't work for me at all yesterday; I did it twice and it didn't post.

Hey, maybe it'll work with the group photo too, if I delete all record of ever having a photo, and start over from scratch with something easy for the site to handle... maybe a solid #FF00FF 160x160 pixel square or something...

Ridiculous that I have to TRY these sorts of experiments to get this site working though!

Isn't that part of the process of a beta?

A) I didn't sign up for a beta =P
B) Yeah but the thing is, it works SOMETIMES. Like, if you look at my groups from my profile, you see the right icon; if you look at it from the group page, it doesn't show up, but from some of the group sub-pages it DOES... it's just annoying and I don't CARE enough to press forward in trying.

It takes about a day for your group picture to appear on its actual page. Be patient; I got mine eventually.

In which case, it should say it takes a couple DAYS for the group photo to propogate, not a few MINUTES.

No, the beta process is getting rid of a few annoying bugs.

The full functionality of the program/website should already be there.

They are innacurately calling this a beta, it is more akin to a 'work in progress' or in programming terminology an 'alpha'.

Yeah it took a day or so and mine propogated. Sorry you're having a hard time with it. Frown
