I can honestly see spending more time scrolling than typing or reading, and a high-density layout setting would be amazing for those who don't think that particular balance of time is ideal.
Additionally, what happened to the spoilers? Using a name in the tag will cause the whole thing to be devoured by the internet. (i.e. compare sblock to sblock=Title). EDIT: On the one hand, editing on mobile. On the other, NOTHING else seems to work. Where's the forum search? I can't get to old threads through Google (instead I just get a Paranoia-style authorization message), and without forum search, how are our older threads to remain accessible? |
| #2PhilipSep 09, 2013 23:41:32 | I hate the new formatting. |
| #3RogerWilcoSep 10, 2013 1:17:51 | It's very traditional for the WotC forums to have a non-working search.
And I think the new layout has to much whitespace as well. The editor is even more horrible, with it's double line width. It makes it very hard to judge what a finished message will look like, without using preview.
Also Preview is horrible. White on light gray? Really?

| #5JalleSep 10, 2013 9:00:45 | I simply don't understand the point in cramping everything just to fill 50% of the browser window with white background, and then in combination with this make every header HUGE so that one can only see 5-7 threads in the forum at a time, where as you were able to see around 30 before. This is SUCH a pain in the ***! |
| #6VoyRagerSep 10, 2013 11:41:08 | More like filled tables' grids on whitespace. With this type of set-up it would too easy to setup a customized option button for us members to at least super-imposed a background image in place of the whitespace. I'm hoping someone come up with that option too.
No fancy smillies either, Aww Shoo! |
| #7DragonetteSep 10, 2013 13:07:49 | Hey guys, Normally this would be the right place for discussions about the forums, however during the roll out we are trying to keep all feedback and complaints in one place to make it easier for us to find everything. I'm going to close this thread and ask that you continue the discussion over in Trevor's thread here. Thanks for you patience during this transition period. We are working hard on improving things.
