I was wondering about only one of my answers compared to others...

What percentage of the monsters in the MM2 do you use in your game?
Mine was about 25%.

I didn't like that question, becuase I can't answer it.  I don't have the book so planned out that I know how much of it I will be using, it all depends on the needs of the campaign.  I typed in 10%, just guessing, because I really don't know.  And I don't see how anyone, unless they are making a direct effort, can answer that.

I put about 90%.  But it is kind of a false answer.  I use the statblocks mostly and will reflavor the monster itself.

Dralenan: The survey questions assume you own and use the book. If you don't own the book, how did you get to questions that ask how much of it you use?

reread his statement - you misread. he said he doesn't have the book that much planned out yet.

As for the percentages, I agree that it's entirely stupid to ask such a question. AS I currently DM only a heroic campaign, I currently use less than 33%. Given time, this might change (or it might not) and given time, my opinion on some monsters may change. Asking me NOW what i believe to be the case is far from accurate.

I put in about 30%. It's not that the other monsters aren't any good. It's just that I use what makes sense for my campaign, and they don't all make that kind of sense. For example, the Shadar-kai don't fit my world, so although they're brimming with potential elsewhere, they don't quite work with my current theme. I don't put dragons in that often, which makes them all the more exciting when they do show up, so I can get by with a smaller number of varieties.

My guess is that AsmodeusLore doesn't like his thread getting cluttered with only kinda-sorta on topic posts. But that guess might have more to do with my having a headache and a parent-teacher meeting tonight.

Doubtful. AsmosdeusLore does not have the power to get posts deleted because he doesn't like them. The only thing that he can do is report them, just llike everyone else. His News Guide status has no influence on what does and doesn't get moderated by the ORCs.

I didn't delete three of my posts, including the one whitebaron quoted.

Truly odd indeed. Perhaps some error on the part of the computers? I don't know that you've ever posted anything delete-worthy and most certainly not without explanation.
