| #1lomerell_dawnbringerSep 01, 2009 13:09:22 | One would suppose it edits the details of the group, but this has not been the case for me. Clicking on it does nothing but bring up text that "No Group Profile Defined By Network". One user has suggested to me on another thread that this is because only users have profiles; groups do not. That's all well and good, but if that's the case, what is this link for? And how do I edit the group's ... er ... details? In the image below, you can both see the link I'm describing (it's the one on the left that says "Edit Group Details") and the error text I get every time I click it. EDIT: Every time I view this thread, the picture is too small to see clearly. I have tried editing the picture a number of ways to make it more visible, but even when I make it ENORMOUS in the preview or while editing the thread, each time the actual thread loads, it's back to the same size. At it's base level, it doesn't even matter. These are all cool things to know about groups as a whole without having to include them in the blog or wiki (which would not result in them being part of a searchable database anyway except as text, not as items flagged a particular value). I'm looking for whatever the link does since for as long as it isn't working for me, I know that part of my group's data is missing, and someone will be viewing pages somewhere that say "The group's owner hasn't filled this out yet. (What a moron.)" |

City/State/Zip of the group would go into the Location Tab (bottom most tab in the left menu, right under forum). This is the only thing that will come up when doing an advance group search, so the rest of it will only be searchable text. "Edit settings" (In the group tab in the left menu) has the name change ability, though your displayed name is your group name. If that information is important to be on your groups site open "edit settings" and put that information in the long description. The text in the long description is part of the what the search looks in when determining if the group is a result to return. I'm looking for whatever the link does since for as long as it isn't working for me, I know that part of my group's data is missing, and someone will be viewing pages somewhere that say "The group's owner hasn't filled this out yet. (What a moron.)" I doubt it because no group will have that page. |

I want to know what is this link intended to do. There are two possibilities: 1. The purpose of this link is to return the error. If the second is true, something needs to be changed. If the first is true, WOTC has a strange philosophy on what published webpages and interfaces they prefer to use. |
