-I was wondering why the 4E Action Icons are not here. They have them at Enworld. Why not here. I haven't seen any around these forums.

Seconded. If we can add the MTG symbols into our text, we oughtta have 4E/DDM's action symbols. (They'll get a ton of use.)

-The link isn't working for me. But, no matter. I'd rather have the subscription eating bugs and kinks worked out first. Once things are always working smoothly, then we can worry about "decorations". ;)

-I guess I should have mentioned that you must be a member of Enworld. I guess. Or check out smilies in the Enworld FAQ.

-Yeah, that might help, there. :P

-But, I'm surprised there aren't more 4e-related avatars and icons and stuff. It's been out for, what? Two months now?

There are 4e avatars. (Plus some DDI avatars. "I'm a monster! Rawr!")

I can't speak for most people, but I don't think I've even looked at choosing an avatar since I made this account.

Maybe I should! It'll be a form of rebellion, like that 4E Avengers bizniz, but more subtle. It'll mark me as a sympathizer.

EDIT: Done.

-I'd be afraid to change my avatar. It's who I am! Hell, that's how I know my own posts!

lol I hear that, bro.

But, we've all gotta make sacrifices for the (4E Avengers) war-effort. :P

-Well, no one pays attention to you, so...

:P

-Except the trolls. You seem to be a magnet. I hear that, though.

Yes... Trolls love me, I make them all tingly inside when they burn.

-Ok fun and games aside. :D How can we get these Action Icons in these Forums. Think of all the NPC's, and PC's that can be enriched by those Icons.

I agree, it would help a lot for pbp games... I have no idea how to do it though (not even sure we can)... Maybe this thread can be brought to the attention of WotC and they could get it set up?

-Ask MT. He submitted a lot of the avatars that exist. Someone (Melanie?) is in charge of all of them.

Of course you can. If WotC doesn't make them into emoticons, you could always make the icons yourself, upload them to some imagehosting service, and use IMAGE(http://www.imagehoster.com/your/icon/here123.jpg).

True to that. Also, this has been brought up a few times before (dating back to the first time we saw 4e monster statblocks), but nobody from WOTC ever responded to any of the threads that I saw. Even the 4e avatars that are now available are all user-made AFAIK, so these smilies may well need to be the same.

Wait, we can MAKE our own avatars, instead of just choosing them?!

Well, sort of. You can provide the images (by taking pictures from the art gallery or preview, or dragon/dungeon magazines and making them into images of the correct size) and suggest them to be added to the available selection.

At least that's it if I didn't miss something.

Yeah my understanding is you need permission to get a custom avatar. And they don't hand it out for the asking. All of the ones I recall seeing are those of either UnCon prizewinners or of WizOs.

I would also like to chime in that I'd love the 4th Edition action icons to be made as emoticons.

Please please please, and all that jazz.

This is what we meant by, "4E action icons", isn't it? If not, I officially have no idea what we're talking about.

-That is what I am talking about.

-:6: would be a six-sided dice showing six.

-:1: would be a six side dice showing one.

-:basic: would show the basic attack Icon.

-I think that would be very useful on these forums.
