Dear Customers,*

I have been watching these boards with interest for some time. There has been an ongoing debate here regarding the success of 4E, and how it has been recievd by our fans. It has brought me great joy to watch the as the 4E Avengers defend our new system with an iron fist. To them, I say "Thank You." But to the purpose of this missive.

I am Bill Slavicsek, Director of Roleplaying Design and Devlepment at Wizards of the Coast. I wanted to assure everyone here, who might think otherwise, that 4th edition is an astounding failure.

Our latest market research indicates that most long time players are significantly unhappy with the new system. The books have sold well, but we don't expect this to continue into the next year as people switch to True 20, "OGL 3.5", and even Pathfinder.

Yes, the customers have spoken loud and clear. We will immediately end all plans for future 4E releases and restore production of the 3E line.

Thank You For Your Time,

Bill Slavicsek

Darn, and I was hoping this was found in an Ampersand article and went to look for it before I saw the disclaimer.
