| #1imperialxJul 06, 2010 11:57:23 | Ok so i'm thinking of trying out the D&D encounters event, but I have a few questions before I try it. My first concern is - Would i have to have been to the previous encounters (ie last weeks) or could i jump in at any time? This is the biggest issue currently since i would think most parties would have already been set up and there would be no place for me - is that true? Second Concern - I am extremely new though i have bought the Core books and have read through a bit of them. Are the encounters (not just gameplay but people) new player friendly? And will i have to pre make my character before i get there? So ya those are actually my only concerns as of now (though they don't seem like a big deal once you type it up on a forum lol). TBH i'm not extremely social face to face, however i think i could handle tryin this. |

You don't have to commit to it week after week and you generally can join mid-stream (I have read about some locations having too many players - so that might be a problem; I haven't personally witnessed this though). Welcome to the game. If you feel particularly adventuresome - you might check out some Play by post games (linked in my signature). |
