i am not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but here goes:

in each post of a thread, under the poster's icon, are words and symbols, such as the little, red ampersand dragon symbol (which, i think, means that the poster is a ddi subscriber) and, in some cases, the term "dragon slayer".

where can i find an explanation for all of the possible symbols and terms?

also, is there a more appropriate forum for this question?

As far as the icons go, you can just hover your mouse pointer over them for a moment, and the name of the group will appear.

In response to this thread, I have added an entry in the Unofficial Dungeons & Dragons Forum Glossary identifying all of the known badges.  If anybody can identify a badge I have neglected, I will add it.

My understanding is a "Dragon Slayer" is a custom title given to a member who identifies a problem in a Dungeon or Dragon magazine article that causes the editors to amend the article before the issue is compiled into a final .pdf.

Pretty close - I think it's anyone who participates in a thread that results in the article that gets the most attention for that month.

I think the titles (I wasn't aware there were badges too) are "Dragon Slayer" for Dragon and "Dungeon Delver" for dungeon.

How does one get the GM icon?  Is that for GMing something official?

Thanks!  I've updated!

And I'm not sure how one gets to be a Scribe or Game Master anymore.  I don't think anybody's been given that title in years.

The GM badge is given to those that were running the gaming forums in the PbP area of the boards. The area has now been moved to groups (all of which can be found in my sig). To get one you have to be promoted to the leader of one of those groups, usually when the previous GM steps down.

(Even though I haven't gotten mine yet... )

I don't know about Scribe, but recently we've replace and added GM's.
