Shut down the thread! This is ridiculous. If this is how you moderate your forums, you might as well just shut them down. |
| #2WebsterMay 29, 2010 10:28:20 | Actually, the thread is a petition which we don't allow around here. If someone wants to start a discussion on features they want, that's fine. But "sign here if you agree" isn't a discussion and WotC doesn't make business decisions by votes by the customers. |
| #3tsukinousagiMay 29, 2010 12:55:23 | Hmm I have to tell ya, if I was Wizards, and someone started a thread asking for votes on something I simply didn't care about, I don't think I would resort to making things look worse by using draconian tactics in the forum actually. What was wrong with them just ignoring the thread? It's not like anyone is able to tell when Wizards gives a damn about anything after all. Although I think I can likely safely say Wizards doesn't much seem to care about a number of things. And as such, just having the forums only leaves them open to complaining routinely. |

| #5calronmoonflowerMay 29, 2010 16:10:52 | This appears to be the thread in question, Petition - Put in a "do not use errata" option like you have for "do not use dragon" option. Petitions have been banned for a long time. This isn't about WOTC shutting down negative threads, but arcane moderation policies. They really should explicitly state such in the code of conduct, but petitioning isn't listed as an infraction. |
