Yeah, that's exactly right. What happens is that when the forums cache gets corrupted that permissions error pops up because vBulletin thinks you don't have access to the forum/thread you're trying to view. When it does that, it also updates all your subscriptions to reflect the fact you don't have permission to view the forum the subscription is in. But, in reality, you do have permission it's just because vBulletin can't get the info out of the cache it assumes you don't.

Forums cache should be fixed and subscriptions restored.

Mar 18, 2009 11:20:08 Yea its just a scary sounding message. Hopefully they figure out how to make it say "Some Umber Hulk just trashed our servers, forums will be up again once Bigby forces him back under ground."

I was trying to remember if I said anything TOS violation worthy yesterday...
