Petitions are against the CoC and are removed.
as for removed posts: usually you should get an email to the adress you entered when registering to the forums when this happens.
if this did not happen, someone violated the ORC-rules - they always have to tell you why they did such stuff.

looked it up - polls are just mentioned as part of "spam". i can go by the definition that this petition was spam, as it just included stuff like "signed", but just saying such stuff is outright not allowed is NOT what is written within the coc.

So, does that mean if we wish to discuss how the wording of a feat should be interpreted (such as in what's a dm to do...) then we have to discuss it without actually saying (by that I mean posting, but I think you get it...

Well...if I recall, there was a discussion of a feat, in which another poster asserted that a feat meant Interpretation A but claimed that to post the text to illustrate Interpretation A would violate copyright and EULA and Code of Conduct and such.
Other posters including myself asserted that in fact, the feat as written supported Interpretation B, and - having seen it done elsewhere in these forums - I posted the text of the feat for clarity in the discussion. About 10 minutes later, I got an email that posting copyrighted material was a CoC violation, and the post was edited by one of the ORCs to remove the feat text.
Personally, I suspect that someone simply did the responsible thing and reported that my post violated the CoC.

My guess is that the post was reported, and once reported, the ORC's must take action on it. It's not that big a deal (I mean, that issue wasn't that big a deal, obviously - a rules argument does not herald the End of Days).
