| #1kave99Jul 14, 2008 15:39:28 | I'm for ever having to get new passwords and log in, at the moment i can't log in to the mane sight but can get in hear, this is nut's![]() |
| #2BelorinJul 14, 2008 22:17:09 | I have to log in everytime I enter the D&D site also, although I don't need new passwords everytime. It's not necessary for the forums except for every two weeks. Bel |
| #3xmen510Jul 15, 2008 19:12:39 | Add me to the list. Every time I come to the site, I must log in again. It is getting very annoying. Hopefully something can be done about this soon. |
| #4blackflagonJul 15, 2008 19:26:02 | My forums login sticks around for a while but why must I log into D&D Insider on the main page and then log into the forums? It's the same exact account info, so what gives? For that matter, why doesn't the Gleemax login form trigger a 'Remember Login' question from Firefox 3 like every other web page in existence? What's in that form code that doesn't comply to standards enough to not have it kick off that remember query in Firefox? I mean, it can't be that hard to change, right? |
| #5donovan_morningfireJul 15, 2008 19:39:23 | Nice to see I'm not the only one having issues with the main sight. Tried entering my log-on id and got nothing, however exact same log-on worked just fine to sign in to the boards here. |
| #6cocoasmooth619Jul 15, 2008 20:46:22 | had to change my name just to get in again... plus I can't get into dragon insider.. anybody else having the same trouble login into dragon insider?? |
| #7GlimFolkor1234Jul 15, 2008 21:04:18 | I too am having problems logging into the Wizards site. I was able to log back in after deleting cookies, but then it was back to what appears to be a login failure. Just to be clear, I enter my username and password, click to enter, and the page comes back with a blank username and password space again. |
| #8kufanJul 15, 2008 21:35:53 | Add me to the login failures. I can't log in to read up on the Dungeon Magazine. I logged in fine about two days ago. And it is a bit annoying keying in name/password two times to access info. |
| #9Horus_SungodJul 15, 2008 21:50:50 | I can'T read them either. It tells me to login... (which I already did) |
| #10cocoasmooth619Jul 15, 2008 22:37:57 | I can'T read them either. It tells me to login... (which I already did) DAMMIT I wanna read the Artificer article really bad!!!!!!! |
| #11hellmuteJul 15, 2008 23:06:51 | Problem has been found but WotC does not know about it yet.... With some testing just now I figured out the problem for logging into the wizards D&D site. sPlanetTimePro iPlanetDirectoryPro All those Planet*Pro cookies after deleted allowed me to sign on anew. They are corrupt cookies for the domain wizards.com Odds are this may be the same problem other people are having, so clearing the cookies for the domain you try to connect to the d&D website should help. WotC will just have to fix the cookie handling on the website to fix these planet cookie errors. Doesn't keep me logged in ever, but at least now I know how to get it to work! |
| #12VerysArkonJul 16, 2008 12:19:37 | I'm having the same problems. Thanks Hellmute for the work-around. Hope they stabilize the basics before the launch any more of the DDI. |
| #13hellmuteJul 16, 2008 13:04:12 | Correction. I seem to be logged in now without always having to sign in after resolving those few cookie problems. Mike mentioned that the site was not even checking in the past if you signed in correctly, but let you in anyway, so now you probably need to clear ALL cookies related to the D&D website in order to make sure that you CAN sign in correctly, now that it actualyl tries to check your account. I can't seem to find the post he made about it, but it is around somewhere. |
| #14AndronJul 16, 2008 13:08:59 | I can log into the forums, but not the site at all. I'll try the cookies idea. |
| #15ArtukJul 16, 2008 18:58:55 | Problem has been found but WotC does not know about it yet.... Nice job, worked for me. Art |
| #16kave99Jul 16, 2008 23:37:21 | Problem has been found but WotC does not know about it yet.... |
| #17hellmuteJul 16, 2008 23:43:36 | Problem has been found but WotC does not know about it yet.... Yes clearing your WotC cookies should do the trick. ;) Any from wizards.com, insider.com, etc however you get to the D&D website. |
| #18blu_skreemJul 16, 2008 23:53:10 | Seriously What's up with the Wizard IT guys? I've not seen so many problems managing a website / forum since 1995. |
| #19hellmuteJul 16, 2008 23:57:24 | They were all taken away from the forums to work on MtGO and DDI for quite a while and the forums fell to ruin as the new management and WizO structuring happened while Gleemax was installed so nothing has really been working since Gleemax started and everyone went to the other projects. Not their fault as they just get shuffled around by someone who probably doesn't know a thing about any of the It stuff and they just have to make the things happen as best they can in what little time is given them. |
| #20rpmarshJul 17, 2008 1:50:50 | To add insult to injury when I tried to log a complaint I was asked to log on. Being able to log on to half the site I crossed my fingers and found that I could not log on. Catch-22 You must log on to lodge a complaint You complain that you cannot log on |
| #21hellmuteJul 17, 2008 10:42:16 | For some stupid reason the customer service portion of the site takes a different login. Don't ask, because I have no idea what nutjob thought that one up! But if you want to use contact us type thiings around here you need anew account for that. |
| #22kave99Jul 18, 2008 22:12:38 | so being the lazy Luddite that I am, I didn't get around to clearing the cookies. So today I just try and log on, up pops a new window telling me to insure that my cookies are on ( or something like that, Hey I'm a Luddite). so thanks to hellmute and the nameless IT gnomes all round |
