What is wrong with the Preview Post button?

Oct 30, 2008 13:42:11 Quite often, when I use it, I just end up geting a completely blank page. which means I have to hit "Back", which usually causes half the content of my post to go missing, which means I have to copy all the text to my clipboard to keep it safe, then hit Preview Post, then hit Back, then paste the text back in, then hit Preview Post again.

Is anyone else getting this? It's not a huge inconvenience or anything, but it's worth a mention.

Oct 30, 2008 13:45:37 I have learned to *always* copy long posts to the clipboard before I hit Preview Post from the quick reply area.

TTBOMK, the tech team is aware of the problem and working on fixing it, but they don't have an estimate of when it will be done. Until then, about the only thing you can do about it is get into the habit of copying your posts onto the clipboard before hitting the Preview button.

Oct 30, 2008 16:50:22 Firefox saves your form data, so I just hit Back, and my stuff is still there. :D

Oct 31, 2008 0:58:03 This is a known issue. I run into it as well. They are working on it as zammm said. If you'd like to submit a bug report, you can do so at Customer Service. It might help them solve the problem quicker.

Oct 31, 2008 1:20:56 This kind of thing is known as a data vampire. These data devouring things are quite annoying, but as stated above copying your post to the clipboard can slay them.
