What! No art thread?!

Apr 18, 2009 0:25:32 Hi all. I have just now returned to these boards because our old group is about to start a new 4th edition game with a brand new DM. :D

Anyhoo I was wondering how come there is no Art Thread on the boards? AtomicThinkTank's got one, Enworld's got one, why is there not one here?

... or am I not looking hard enough?

There's a couple different threads in Astrid's Parlor - What Art Gets It Right?, Good Art Of Women, and Most ridiculous Wizard's Art.... Pretty much all pictures of female characters.

And the Character Development forum has What Do You Think My Character Looks Like?, which has basically become a request-a-photoshop thread - it's an extremely long thread, and there's probably at least a hundred pictures in it, not counting the different versions we've cut, pasted, and recolored.

Apr 18, 2009 0:59:07 If you do a search on DeviantArt for almost any D&D-related term, you'll find a few pics as well (apparently dragonborn and tieflings are the new furry obsession for some reason, lol).

What Do You Think My Character Looks Like?... currently 69 pages, started off as "post your character, and people will post pics of what they think it looks like" and then became "here's my character, can you find/make/alter a pic for them?"

What Art Gets It Right?... 50 pages, all art of female characters that aren't stripperific cheesecake

Most Ridiculous Wizard's Art... 54 pages of stuff people thought was either weird, dumb, or just ugly, but some of the pics have been posted in all three threads listed, lol

As far as displaying your own artwork, there really isn't a thread for it, but you could always start one in the Off-Topic forum.
