As the title says, Whats stopping someone from deleting my wiki page? How do we safeguard against people who might not like us much, deleting our work on our wiki pages? Whats stopping them from altering what we write up through editing?

Is there a way to lock our wiki pages so no one but us can change them?

Additional Questions about the wiki feature.

1. How many seperate pages can we make? Only one?

2. What is the total memory size a page can handle?

Thanks for any and all replies.

Well from my experience on TV Tropes nothing really stops someone from deleting your page.
However, I know TV Tropes has a restore feature. That means you would be a click or two from restoring the whole thing.
Now I don't know much about the D&D wiki as I haven't used it yet, but if it doesn't have that feature, then it should have.

As for page limits, you should be able to modify or change any page you want.
As for page length I have no clue.

Thanks very much for the reply. For now I think I will just use blogs for anything I want to post. Thats the safest bet.

Yeah, it's kind of the whole point of wikis that the community can change them at will. Otherwise, just use a blog.

Nobody outside of WotC has the option to fully delete a wiki page.

The worst they could do in that bein would be to delete all the content from the page.  As the page itself would still be in-tact, however, you'll note there is a "History" link on each wiki page.

This allows anyone who notices such vandalism to go back and restore a previous version of the page.

So don't worry, your wiki information is safe.  The upside to a wiki over a forum or blog post is that if you decide to stop updating the content (due to lack of time, interest, or other) someone else can pickup where you left off without having to re-create the wheel.
