Oct 07, 2011 0:52:21 I'm wondering if the powers that be here on the forums ever considered posting a sticky or creating a forum for people to post where they are (geographically) to recruit players or find a game?

Have members here post basic information like this:

Anikatharsis
Location: Oswego, NY
Play/DM: Yes/Yes
Edition(s): 4th Edition
Want to play weekly/biweekly/monthly: Any
Location desired: My home or suitable public location.

What ya think?

(BTW, the above info is true for me if anyone is in the Oswego area!)

(It's really hard to find because, for some reason, WotC doesn't see the need to put a link to it on their main page when they can just use all their space for advertising Encounters instead...)

Oct 13, 2011 15:30:21 To be honest, Obsidian Portal and PenandPapergames.com have better methods for finding players. Wizards has a forum you can post to, but it doesn't notify you about squat, and you can't look at a map and find games/players in your area.

Obsidian Portal/PnPgames, however, does, and has google integration.
