Anytime I click on a page tonite theres a 50/50 chance i get a plain white page. Clicking on refresh doesn't do anything but sometimes if I go back to the main forum page and keep trying I can get the page up. This happening to anyone else?

I constantly get this, and 5-6 refreshes generally solves it.

I'm getting it as well. Worst part is when I write a long post, hit send, then get the White Screen of Fear.

White Screen of Fear? Is that a cousin of the Blue Screen of Death?

I haven't experienced this problem at all. (knock on wood) So... am I just lucky, or is there some sort of commonality we can figure out? Let's start easy: Those with the problem -- what browser and OS do you use?

XP and Firefox 2.0.0.14. I experienced it in a very brief moment yesterday.

Just tried in IE6 and I experience the problem frequently every 5 or so threads I tried. Other note I'm not logged in I'll see if that makes a difference.

Logged in with a GM account in IE6 and not experiencing the problem

Logged out again IE6 experiencing the problem again

Cal - if you change your skin to one of the ones that seems to work OK, do you still have problems? Some options that work OK are "Parchment and Leather," "White MTG," and "Hecatomb."

Even if you don't like any of those skins, can you give one of them a try for a little while and see if your problem seems to go away?

It only happens now and again while the boards are very busy. I'm not inclined to try it during that time. However I'll try if the situation comes up.

Doesn't seem to matter if the boards are busy or not for me. I tend to be on during less popular times and it still can do it.

Firefox 2.0.0.14 and XP here; I tried switching to every skin in the list and nothing fixes it.

It's weird, though--I don't get the problem a lot...just when I really want to reply to a thread. ;) Basically, I can open most threads fine, but replying either with or without quotes I get the WSoD. I've only come across it in 2 threads, and no amount of refreshing or back button/forward button trickery will avoid it.

EDIT: Ooookay, now I'm stumped. I searched for "All posts by Eldritch_Lord" and one of the problem threads was one I'd previously posted in. I can get the second page to load, and I can reply, but not the first page.

Well, the entirety of the MTG side is going into glitch mode again. We suspect this time it has something to do with the "autocard" tags (if you guys know what those are ;)).

*sigh*

Save us, D&D!

Update: I tried a few pages with IE6, and...I still have the problem, but with completely different pages. So the people before who had it fix their problem were just luckier than I; it's not necessarily a Firefox vs. IE thing.

One of my members over on the Castle of Fun is reporting new problems as well. She says no skin makes it go away completely, and the worst problems seem to be on the Magic side of the forums.

I just experienced the problem using the Wizards Insider Default skin. It's only done it once, otherwise the skin has been fine. No where near the fail rate of the Wizards Community Default skin.

While we're on the topic of blank pages, is anyone else getting this error?

Just tried the D&D homepage, and I got the same thing. Maybe they're updating?

Maybe they're updating?

Hope so. I'm guessing that missing out on all the excerpts and such after the glut of them will cause withdrawal in a bunch of folks and cause a whole new round of "Those money-grubbing liars!" comments.

I just tried with FireFox and IE. I don't see the same thing (I see the articles fine), though I tried a good 30 minutes after KillerGM. Does your still do it now?
