Why is it not possible to create polls in these forums?

I am often curious about the degree of support for one side or another in the several of the more interesting discussions in these forums.

May 22, 2010 17:58:49 You can make polls. Go to your profile and select the Blog category. In the Blog category is a section called my polls. Clicking on that allows you to create a poll. I've never done it personally, but I've seen it while exploring my profile page.

Hrm.. but how many people are going to find and respond to a poll hidden in an ordinary user's blog? EN world allows polls to be created in the general discussion forum, where hundreds of people can see them and respond thereto.

Then ask the question, in a general sense, in a forum thread and provide a link to the poll in the thread.
