I am very dissapointed to discover the poor treatment of the D&D brand by Wizards of the coast Australia.

For years we have recieved our D&D releases at the same time or close enough to the US, now suddenly without any announcements Wizard's Australia has decided that Magic is the priority and is shipping their products with urgency meanwhile D&D has suddenly become the "red headed stepchild" and will be shipped by sea.
This leads to products being released over a month after their offical release here.

This will lead to the customer base just ordering the product from overseas with the Australian dollar doing so well and will harshly impact on the bricks & mortar stores in Australia.

I have also noticed the exceedingly poor brand support of D&D and the Essentials line in Australia. I thought the whole purpose of the Essentials line was to print regular format books which could be supplied to regular book chains and increase the awareness of the D&D brand and bring about a batch of young blood to D&D.

In Australia this seems to have failed, I recently spoke to half a dozen book retailers to see if they stocked the Essentials line, none of them will be stocking the product in their stores and most did not even have them in their systems. So this new branding change seems to be completely wasted in Australia, perhaps it is time that Wizards of the Coast Australia has a look at itself and learn their product and its strengths and promote this great game like it should be.
