Hey all...is anyone else having trouble accessing wizards.com or the compendium right now? I haven't been able to access them since sometime yesterday.

Sorry if I'm putting this on the wrong place. I just haven't seen any announcements or discussion of this problem anywhere on the 'net so I'm starting to worry it's just me.

Just when we needed it most.

Unless something odd is happening on my end there appears to be a minor bug with DDI right now.

When I logged in earlier I received the confirmation of being logged in with my name listed as logged-in in green in the top right corner of the page. Now te log-in spots remain and are open as well as the sign-in button.

However, I can access everything...

There's been an issue (And I don't know if it's still ongoing) dealing with connecting to the WotC sites. The biggest/most common impact is folks on Comcast.

The situation is being looked in to.

Ah, okay, that explains it then. downforeveryoneorjustme.com told me it was up and it's still not working at all for me...and I have Comcast.

I'm surprised there's no announcement readily available on the forums. Or is there? Once again I find myself lost in this labyrinthine forum.

Do I need to like...get after them, or something? I'm headed to the in-laws and I don't want to have to lug along all my books to work on my campaign (they have Comcast too)! :P

I have comcast and I can't get on wizards.com either >_< this forum is fine (though it's taking much longer than usual to load) but getting to the main page is impossible -_-

Same problem here with comcast. I haven't been able to access the site since Friday. If anyone can explain how an ISP could cause problems with a site that would be appreciated.

It is kind of ridiculous considering the absurd price of DDI to lose it for an entire weekend, when a lot of people actually play their game and use it. I'm the UA said something about continuous service is not guaranteed; but some reason thats not making me feel any better, lol.

I miss my Dragon magazine : (

Please come back soon.

I had a similar issue but reversed. I could get to Dragon and Dungeon, but not the Forums. That was last night.

Now, today, I'm at work and can get to the Forums ... but occassionally can not get to the D&D "front page".

I cannot log into the WotC forums on any other machine. This one had a cookie so I was still logged in from before when it was working properly. On my other computer when I click "Log in" it just times out saying the server is not responding. The biggest issue I am having is that I cannot update the character builder. I need to get access to the *current* version of that before leaving for GenCon so I can make several characters for RPGA events.

When character builder launches, it begins to look for an update, then says it cannot currently access it. Clicking on the little help button and then the "Repair" button starts a download, which then interrupts. I've tried this on 2 computers from the same IP address with the same results, yesterday and today. I was using Windows 7 beta on my Intel iMac, and my husband's work computer running XP.

My ISP is Comcast in Colorado Springs. There were a number of other people with Comcast in Colorado and other places having similar issues who have posted over on ENWorld in this thread. You may not hear from people having issues on this site because they likely can't log in either, unless they happen to have a machine with the login cookie still valid, as I did. This problem has been going on for several days according to posts there.

On vacation in Colorado (Littleton) and I seem to be able to access everything again...with Comcast. Hopefully when I get back to Portland it's working up there, too.

Anyone else still having issues?

FWIW, I am also on Comcast, and cannot view the new issue of Dungeon magazine. I am logged in, and the light in the upper corner is green, but for whatever reason, when I visit the page, it tells me I need a subscription to view the issue.

The compendium seems to be working though. Anyone have any idea why this might be?

EDIT: Hmmm, manually logging out then logging back in seemed to fix it. Who knows.

I'm not having any problems except with the CB updater. I have Verizon DSL. I'm already in contact with CS to try to solve the problem.

Hmmm, I seem to be able to connect without a problem for now. Thanks Wizards!

I was having intermittent problems between 8/10 and 8/11...
(I have comcast as well)
i was unable to check the forums or the main WotC site.

things are fine now. This is the 3rd or 4th time in the last 8 months that I've had problems. the most frustrating thing is that it always seems to happen the same day we game!
