| #1boozerkerJul 30, 2009 21:03:28 | Neaten it up please :P I saw a few of the older 3rd Edition members around (Seeker95, zammm). Who else is here from the old crew? (And how do you like the new edition?) |
| #2WebsterJul 31, 2009 0:39:38 | I'm still here. And what do you mean, it's become a mess? In what way? |
| #3Seeker95Jul 31, 2009 7:14:12 | Still here. I love 4e. I have been able to get new players playing D&D in less than one session with these rules. |
| #4zammmJul 31, 2009 15:12:35 | Neaten it up please :P Wait--what? I'm a 3E player? And here's me thinking the first (and almost last) time I ever played D&D was a short 3.5 session at GenCon '07... :P |
| #5mnemonicsvAug 06, 2009 4:30:15 | Neaten it up please :P Old Crew? What was the Old Ship? ;) I have to assume the "neaten" bit was tongue-in-cheek though. Some of us old-timers actually know what it can look like when it isn't tidy. Those are days I don't miss: I still recall the 2e/3e edition war around the time of this board's inception... now THAT was a messy board. 4th edition? Haven't played it (yet). It's not to my tastes ATM. That being said, it seems like a solid game to me, probably a lot of fun, and I encourage others to give it a go. |
| #6boozerkerAug 14, 2009 4:29:12 | I purchased the 4e core books immediately after their release. However I've not played it yet (not counting the mini-adventures run at the D&D Experience last Feb/Mar), since barely any of my group's interested in playing 4e. We use "3.75" rules like wizards have 20 spell levels, everyone gets a new feat per level, and grace/health. What bugs me about 4e is healing surges. Maybe there's a way to play without them? Otherwise, the system looks really improved and clean in many aspects, streamlined enough to my liking. I'm still here. The D&D main section has 53 entries, plus another 33 sub-forums. Total: 86 clickies at its entrance page. A little organization might get everything streamlining into a more cohesive order. |
| #7Mr_MiscellanyAug 14, 2009 6:14:09 | I dunno....I like the regular D&D sections as they are now. I thought things were a little too divided up at first, but now I see how it works and I like it. I'm an old FR regular and I deplore how the FR and Eberron Forums are setup, described and named (bleh, all the way around) but it's not going to change soon so might as well work with what we've got. I play 3E and 4E pretty regularly. More fun for me and my mates. I remember when Seeker was new to these forums. At the time I didn't know how to keep myself from arguing with anybody and everybody. Those were the days. |
| #8ZardnaarAug 17, 2009 5:33:30 | I'm an old timer I suppose as its not often I come across someone witha march or april 2001 join date. The edition wars seem to be alot worse this time around. Don't post that much and lurk around the Darksun and Star Wars forums. |
