Starting: you start in the SE box

Visibility and init when you settle on what you want to start with.

Begin mounted on Istyar, front and center of the box. Nothing in particular in hand. I shouldn't need any expendables here.

Basic buff plans: Defensive Precog 13 pp (+5 AC/saves). Energy Adaptation, no augmentation (7 pp) unless they somehow get close and fire before my second action, in which case immediately use it, paying the 11 pp (Resist 30 all elements). Istyar ought to take to the sky, but stay low (20' or so). I'll mainly use him to prevent dives.

One of the Arrowhawks acts before Istima and runs out after him.

Init
25 - Arrow 1 - Run move
21 - Istima - Def precog or EA?
14 - Arrow 2
10 - Arrow 3

Defensive Precognition, and rise into the sky, flying about one move action north-west (but more north than west).

If they get a shot off before my next action, the 11 pp immediate Energy Adaptation. If not, the regular 7 pp one on my next action, and fly away if they're getting too close (within charge range), higher than them if they seem going for a dive.

PS: Him, not her. Istima is male.

no idea what you are talking about ... ignore the edit ...

Istima takes to the sky and he protects himself with his own psionic energy.

The other two arrowhawks catch up as the lead one propels forward and bases Istima

All parties are at 20ft altitude

Well, this going even faster than I figured. Istyar will withdraw from the arrowhawk basing me (Istima will take an AoO though, since he isn't withdrawing - remember ride for cover vs that, which will move my AC up to 40) and fly towards the other two. Istima will manifest an 11 pp immediate-action energy adaptation, and upon getting within 60' of the other two, manifest an augmented Banishment (15 pp, +2 DC) on both of them (can affect 2 HD per ML, they have exactly as many HD as I have manifester levels - works out nicely).

Any remaining movement should be spent flying out of their charge range by moving north and ascending another 20'. Or west, if I successfully banish both.

Istima avoids the bite of the Arrow hawk, circles around and tries to banish the pair gathered together.

One disappears but he realized that he had to spend most of his energy in banishing the one, and did not have enough for the other.

In retaliation the other arrowhawk charges Istima and hits for 20 damage

The first arrowhawk charges as well but misses.

These are not 15HD Arrowhawks :D

They're not? Crap, I hadn't noticed the CR on regular Arrowhawks is too low... so what exactly are they...

23 HD?! Holy crap! It's a damn good thing I have those save-or-dies, because I could never beat through all the HP they'll have.

Well, have Istyar withdraw again, double-moving north-west to get out of charge range. At the halfway mark of them movement, manifest Recall Death on the one that hit me.

Quick PP tally for my benefit: 137 - 13 - 11 - 15 = 98 - 15 this round = 83.

Istima rides away under the cover of her saddle but one of the arrowhawks takes advantage and hits her ... critically for 37.

She then gets away as one falls to the ground behind her ...

The other rushes up next to her again

(one left ... based you)

Okay, withdraw again, this time descending to land, albeit still at a full double-move's distance - I'm getting sick of those AoOs. Again, hit it with Recall Death on the way.

With just one left, hp damage may be a feasible way to end this. I calculcate it has around 170 hp. With Empowered Crystal Shards, I could take that down in an average of 3 shots. So if I fail to insta-kill it in a couple of rounds, I may revert to that.

PS: You're calling Istima "she" again.

Cause you are running away like a little girl?

The arrowhawk falls to the ground faster than Istima can get there.

Flying mount with average maneuverability and no hover feat - I've got a minimum speed to maintain. And while I'm at it, I may as well do the tactically intelligent thing and keep out of its charge range.

I'm surprised they never made a save, though. They only needed a 12 to do it. Dice didn't like them, it seems. I only hope Ceilia gets as lucky against whatever it is she's facing.

Thanks for the run.
