Please don't edit the sheet after the deadline or you will lose the match.

News and Whatnot

This is an 'off' week for ECL10+.

Erithmu's campaign kicks off this week and in another week, we should be enbarking on another Dragon Quest with Bulgar and Erithmu. Our numbers are thinning here, but I'm going to keep the 3.5e CoCo as long as there is interest. If anyone has avenues for advertising it - I welcome the added publicity.

New Rulings - Courtroom

  • nothing ruled on yet

Current Discussions
  • Sweeping Strike - I think this is pretty much clarified, but I'll review first before adding it.
  • Grease - non standard uses - how does it affect non-held but attended objects? Not really a lot of discussion on this - is it really not an issue?
  • Obsidian Steed (Figure of Wondrous Power) - what's its CR? (for prebuffing and for rewards)
  • Metamorphic Transfer - what are its limitations?

The Council Decisions/Revelations
  • Flight Houserule - This is resolved and it is pretty much removed with a small caveat for the sewer map. Check the council or the rules thread for the updated item.
  • Plains clarification - To resolve the question of whether someone can be prone behind the low obstacles. Again - it is updated in the council and the rules thread.
  • EL12 and EL11 monster fight lists are added to the rules (or will be shortly)

Current Topics
  • none

Idle Conversations

These are topics that have died down but had nothing come of them. We may reinvest time into them should they continue to be an issue.
  • Council - Mechanics of the "Awaken" spell is currently being discussed in the council.
  • Council- Delay rules are still being discussed.
  • Courtroom - Sauro wishes an elder decision on using an intelligent cohort as a mount. [and what tricks/training it requires]
  • Council - There is a discussion on how quickly you should be able to aquire ethereal equipment.
  • Courtroom- The rules for Ride and Handle Animal are under discussion.

With much difficulty. Without the Combat Riding Package, a mount generally will not cooperate in battle. The ride skill lists it as a DC 20 ride check as a move action to control such a mount in battle - and failing the check means the character can do nothing else that round, even though they only spent their move action making it. Since the ride skill is not listed as "trained only," he can attempt the check... but he'll need one hell of a dexterity score to have good odds of consistently making it.

[post=18439644]Eldariel vs. Rhelon[/post] is up

Thanks for the run.

Resist Energy scrolls, here I come. >.>

EDIT: Oh, I crafted scrolls that fight, not figurines. Could you change the rewards section?

Sorry to everyone, but I had (and keep having) RL issues out there. I thought of being able to run my fights, but it does seem that I am not. I just have the time to post here the tactics.
Vallgar's Tactics
Vallgar's tactics vs Mohmat

This should be interesting to say the least, let's see what I can do about it.

Start off at the default location with a potion of Mage Armor and a scroll of Flame Arrow (CL5). Turon will be in front of me (towards the center) with his bow in hand.

Until we start moving, Turon will ready to fire at any target that comes in sight.

Buffing:
Round 1 Drink potion of mage armor.
Round 2 Read scroll of Flame Arrow - touch Vallgar's arrows.
Round 3 Cast Keen Edge from memory on those arrows as well.
Round 4 Cast Shield from memory, draw scroll of Expeditious Retreat (CL2)
Round 5 Cast from scroll - start moving out.

From here on, Turon will have priority to attack the horse and if the horse is not available, then Mohmat. Vallgar will follow behind and ready to cast Hideous Laughter/Enlarged Hideous Laughter/Magic Missile at Mohmat depending on the range when Mohmat is discovered.

After initial engagement has been successful, Vallgar will instruct Turon to continue moving and attacking. Vallgar will get in range (100ft) for the Enlarged Hideous Laughter and follow it up with Hideous Laughter (only if the first was unsuccessful), Ray of Exhaustion, Ray of Enfeeblement, Ghoul Touch, Vampiric Touch, Magic Missile as the situation allows and depending on where I am (general priority of spell casting is that though).

When we are not close to him, Turon will always be in between Vallgar and Mohmat in order to offer Soft Cover.

I think that's pretty much it - not sure I'll be able to get through all of those hit points, but we'll see.

Well - I'm sorry to hear that Nab - I'll certainly make a note to keep you off of active roster until you specify otherwise.

I'll post up Soren vs Kathren shortly.
