Please don't edit the sheet after the deadline or you will lose the match.

News and Whatnot

First and foremost - NOTE: Deadline changes have been adjusted. From now on, deadlines are pushed back to 2AM GMT (10PM EDT). So pairings will be done on THURSDAY 2AM GMT (10PM EDT on WEDNESDAY for people in the US). Other deadlines are pushed back to 2AM as well. See the rules thread for precise information.

I expect there to be a bit of an adjustment period for this - so just bear with us and be patient. If pitlords can be more lenient on the tactics submitted deadline - that would be useful - but is absolutely not required.

Second - this week is the First Week of CoCo 4th Edition. I'm looking for constructive feedback from everyone who gets involved with it and I encourage as many people as possible to take a shot at it in the next few weeks. More on 4th Edition in the new FotW (4e) Thread!

This is an 'off' week for ECL10+.

One minor change - I have posted the Maps of the CoCo 3.5e into the Rules thread [post=18116705]here[/post]. It never made much sense to me in the Characters thread anyway - and this way I don't have to bug MWB anytime I need a change.

On that subject - does anyone object to having the introductory posts of the Characters thread that have been reproduced elsewhere cleared out? I'd rather not have them be there if they are causing even an ounce of confusion - the only reason I haven't touched them is because I think they aren't causing much confusion.

Not really much going on in the forefront of the CoCo 3.5e this week. I consider this usually a pretty good thing because it means I'm not as stressed as in other weeks.

Happy Belated Birthday to Sjiggie!

New Rulings - Courtroom

  • nothing ruled on yet

Current Discussions
  • Sweeping Strike - I think this is pretty much clarified, but I'll review first before adding it.
  • Grease - non standard uses - how does it affect non-held but attended objects? Not really a lot of discussion on this - is it really not an issue?
  • Obsidian Steed (Figure of Wondrous Power) - what's its CR? (for prebuffing and for rewards)
  • Metamorphic Transfer - what are its limitations?

The Council Decisions/Revelations
  • Clearing up a couple of muddy issues with the maps - Forest map in particular. Also - if there are other map features that we need to resolve - speak up. Unless something new comes up - I think this is closed.
  • EL13 list has been posted - comments are welcome. This will be added to the rules thread
  • I posted a list for EL9 - comments are welcome. This will be added to the rules thread.

Current Topics
  • None

Idle Conversations

These are topics that have died down but had nothing come of them. We may reinvest time into them should they continue to be an issue.
  • Council - Mechanics of the "Awaken" spell is currently being discussed in the council.
  • Council- Delay rules are still being discussed.
  • Courtroom - Sauro wishes an elder decision on using an intelligent cohort as a mount. [and what tricks/training it requires]
  • Council - There is a discussion on how quickly you should be able to aquire ethereal equipment.
  • Courtroom- The rules for Ride and Handle Animal are under discussion.

I think I have all of the tactics I need at this point other than Beauty and the Beast.

[post=18178664]Beauty and the Beast (lonewolf|whitebaron) vs. Unknown Monster[/post] is up.

1: Just for the record I want to once again disagree with monsters like chokers donning armor. this just doesnt make any sense, especially because they are nonproficient. But I know that you disagree and I wont fight on this one.

2: While the chokers tactics specify to pick up sunrods that lie on the ground, it doesnt specify that they should be removed from the combat area. => this shouldnt be done.

3: Round 6: drawing an item takes a move action. The blinded condition has no effect at all here.

Thats all I can see for now, but this should change things.

PS: I would really love it if you could also use the map generator in the future. Reconstructing everything with just those numbers is a pain in the ***.

While I might not have included taking the sunrods out of the area in the tactics - that was my intent. I realize you are not privvy to my intent - but that was definitely the point - why would they pick up the sunrods if that was not the intent?

As for drawing an item - you are correct. However, you are drawing an item from a bag that is in an adjacent square. Move action to search the square (feeling into it), move action to draw the item out of the bag. Blinded does have an effect because you can't see said bag. That's being generous too when you consider there is a mess of sunrods and a couple of dorjes to grab - they are after all the same size and shape.

As for the map generator - I cut down my pitlording time as much as possible in order to accommodate the number of fights I have on a given week. If I can consistently have 1-2 fights, I would be much more willing to include the maps; with 3+ - I'd rather save the amount of time it takes.
